What scene is most memorable to you for any reason? When you think of Watchmen, what scene takes you to that place where the memory of the experience of reading/thinking about it exists? I'm interested in how different folks interpret this. Thanks!

To me, its the scene where we first see Doctor Manhattan. Rorschach sneaking into the Rockefeller Military Research Institute. "I shall go to them. I shall go and tell the indestructible man that someone plans to murder him." And just as he opens the door, he hears "Good Evening Rorschach". He looks up and sees the colossal Doctor Manhattan working on some device, clearly unsurprised by Rorschach's arrival.
Its at that moment the story shifts from a murder mystery regarding guys in masks, to a sci-fi tale. We see the man who changed the world of 'Watchmen'. We're told hes indestructible and when we see him, he makes an impressive debut. His unconcern about his fellow operatives death ("A live body and a dead body contain the same number of particles. Structurally, there is no discernible difference. Life and death are unquantifiable abstracts. Why should I be concerned?") was very creepy.
Laurie's reactions to Rorschach and her further hostility toward the late Comedian add additional layers of interest to the scene. After I reached this scene, something told me that I was reading something very unique.
A few days ago, I saw the realization of this very same scene on one of the Video Journals and I got a shudder of excitement. It looked so accurate to the story.
